Season of Gifts Art Journal Pages
For the first time in months I managed to participate completely in a season with Get Messy, and have the evidence to prove it! The last few months of pregnancy + holidays + kid in school + life meant I put Get Messy on the back burner and hadn’t done any pages really for the seasons. I was art journaling, but sporadically when I made time.
Somehow I managed to complete this handmade journal in the midst of having a baby and Christmas holidays, etc. I have no idea how. Let’s chalk it up to a Christmas miracle, because I’m still scratching my head wondering how I did it.
Instead of adding to my other journals, I used this handmade accordion journal I had stashed. The covers are from a cardboard insert from a Moleskine journal, and the pages are created from a paper grocery bag. This little journal is just 5″ x 4″ in size, and I filled it up for the Season of Gifts.
It’s my first accordion-style journal, and it was really fun to work in! It had exactly the right amount of pages for the 6 week season. Serendipitous! I ended up adding a flap to the very last part of the journal, mostly because I’ve been wanting to do a flap for ages. Scroll through to see all my pages in their entirety.
