A Tiny Series // Year of Petite Art Journals #3
It’s another month, and another tiny art journal! This one is my smallest one so far: 1.5″ x 1.5″! It’s so dang tiny.
Like:
It’s smaller than my pens and brushes. It’s made of hot press watercolour paper, and bound with chipboard. I did a glue binding this time, since the paper is so thick. While I liked the look of it, working with such a tiny journal with a glue binding made it challenging to work in. Regardless, it’s done and I’ve learned two things: 1) tiny is still amazing, and 2) glue binding and I aren’t really friends.
I give you journal #3 of A Tiny Series. I worked only in watercolours and ink, and tried to focus on quotes I found both enchanting and true to me as a human.
If you’re new to the blog, you can find Journal #1 here and Journal #2 here.
I’m curious – what’s the smallest format you’ve ever worked in? These tiny journals are my smallest yet, but the smaller I go the more I love it. I think I’ve been converted to the small format of art journaling!
And I love it!
